- Water fees are billed to the owner’s address of record on a quarterly (three month) basis. Billing is for the previous 3 months usage.
- Developed property is defined as a residence that is insulated and has an installed heating system.
- Each lot is allowed to use up to 10,000 gallons of water each month.
Typically, a residence that is occupied uses less than 6,000 gallons per month.
- Water usage in excess of 10,000 gallons/month will be billed $0.50 per 100 gallons.
- Water usage in excess of 20,000 gallons/month will be billed $2.00 per 100 gallons.
- Bleeding to prevent freezing does not excuse excess water usage.
- A properly installed water tap and line at the required depth is the best freeze prevention.
- Any member delinquent in payment of water charges will be assessed late fees and may be subject to disconnect and reconnection charges, as well as legal fees.
- Much of the cost of providing your water is due to increased stringent standards for filtering and testing as required by the State of Colorado.
